Draft Picks Bring Early Dividends

The first round of draft picks proved an early success for Matt and defending champion Cobman in Week 13 with Chelski’s Samuel Eto’o and Eden Hazard justifying their selections.

While Hazard’s controversial penalty led the Cobs to just his fourth victory over the season, it didn’t help move the three-time champion off the bottom of the table. Eto’s goal, however, earned Matt a 1-0 victory that lifted him above Steve into third.

Elsewhere in Week 13, two goals each from Wilfried Bony and Luis Suarez saw P-Chief grind out a 4-3 win, while Stu maintained his seven-point lead at the top with a seventh goal of the season from Luic Remy and a second from Gary Hooper in a 2-1 victory.

Dave’s fourth straight win keeps him in second but Steve’s recent dip in form continued with a 2-1 defeat, leaving the three-time champion with just one win in the last six games.
