Suarez Hat-trick Catapults Paul Into Contention

A Luis Suarez hat-trick catapulted Paul into contention while Stu’s seventh win of the season sees the two-time former champion open up a four-point gap at the top of the Kestrel table after Week 11.

Suarez’s sixth goal in four games and a fourth clean sheet of the season by Swansea has seen Paul close within three points of Matt, who remains third in the table thanks to Daniel Sturridge’s ninth goal in 11 games.

Six of the eight Kestrel teams registered wins in Week 11, with a season-high 17 goals bagged overall, although none by defending champion Cobman’s bunch of muppets, who suffered their sixth defeat of the campaign thanks to Man Utd’s leaky defence.

Taff took a step closer to ending his run of 53 consecutive weeks at the bottom of the table with a convincing 3-0 victory with Wayne Rooney, Rickei Lambert and Fernando Torres – with his first Premier League goal of 2013 – all on the scoresheet.

Steve and Dave also continued their good run of form to maintain the pressure on Stu at the top.
